Hunger at Home, the Silicon Valley nonprofit that matches meals with the needy, will again host its annual fundraising gala.
But, given the parameters of this pandemic year, the Bridge the Gap event this Saturday, Oct. 24, will be a socially distanced one — with the flair of an indoor event.
South Bay chefs will create a five-course dinner and package it for home eating. Donors will get to dress up — from the neck up, because they’ll be seen only from the car window — for some fun drive-thru festivities at Earthquakes Stadium before picking up their meals and heading home to enjoy.
The kitchen talents include chefs from Bridges Restaurant, DoubleTree San Jose, Fairmont San Jose, Flik Hospitality, Hotel De Anza, Levi’s Stadium, Oracle Park, Sandi’s Catering, San Jose Marriott and Team San Jose.
